State officials to push DNR on access to public land

Gov. Scott Walker and Wisconsin legislators from both parties say they will push the state Department of Natural Resources to improve public access to more than a million acres of private forest land that is supposed to be open to the public for hunting, hiking, fishing, cross-country skiing and sightseeing.
