MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- The parents and estate of a woman run over and killed by a city parks truck have filed a claim against Madison and some city employees.

The claims seek a total of $750,000 in the death of Karen Remington.

The 38-year-old Windsor woman was sunbathing in James Madison Park May 23 when she was run over by the parks truck.

She died at University Hospital on June 1.

The State Journal (http://tinyurl.com/d22ebxr ) says the claims by Ron and Rose Remington and the woman's estate name the city, the parks director, the driver and two other workers in the truck, as well as the supervisor of those employees.

The claims are often a precursor to a lawsuit.
