EAU CLAIRE- Vice President Joe Biden campaigned in Wisconsin again Thursday.

"Gosh it's good to be back on campus," said Biden to a fired up campus crowd at UW Eau Claire.

Another reminder how the Obama/Biden team is courting the college vote that overwhelmingly embraced them four years ago.

"That's why we've increased the money for Pell Grants, which in one fell swoop increased the number of students in college for working class families from six million to nine million because of Pell Grants," said Biden.

President Obama has promised that the United States would lead the world in college graduates by 2020, a goal Republicans claim he is not on target to reach.

Biden went on to blame Republicans for failing to act on reducing the trillions in debt.

"They have rejected every single proposal if it contained one dollar, one cent in additional cost to people making a million dollars or more."

Republicans issued a statement defending Romney and Ryan and accused Biden of just trying to "distract from President Obama's failed record," said Ben Sparks with the Romney campaign.

They cite the national unemployment rate, which is still over 8 percent, and that the nation's debt has passed $16 trillion.
