TOWN OF DOVER- The pilot who died after a single-engine plane crashed in the Town of Dover earlier this week has been identified.

The Racine County Sheriff's Office said that 67-year-old John "David" Brock was the only person in the Beechcraft Bonanza A-36 single-engine airplane Sunday afternoon.

The plane crashed into a home's backyard, then exploded, causing extensive fire damage to the aircraft and surrounding property.

Those who live in that Racine County neighborhood are stunned that no one else was hurt from Sunday's deadly plane crash.

The FAA and NSTB are investigating this crash.

Brock was trying to fly from Chicago to Minocqua.
