OAK CREEK- The dashcam video released Monday of the Sikh temple massacre is disturbing.

But for the families of the victims, it's also more information about what happened to their loved ones -- something they say is what they need the most.

Amardeep Kaleka lost his father, Satwant Singh Kaleka, in the temple shooting.

"To watch it unfold live and to know in your head what time the 9-1-1 calls were going down, I don't know how to explain it, it was really somber," explained Amardeep Kaleka to TODAY'S TMJ4.

His father was inside as another scene unfolded in the parking lot.

In video released by Oak Creek police, Lieutenant Brian Murphy gets shot as he tries to take cover.  Officer Sam Lenda fires back as his own squad car gets hit.

Kaleka told TODAY'S TMJ4 that watching the video is helpful.

"I absolutely think it's difficult when you don't know, that unknown, in fact that's what started this -- the fear of the unknown," said Kaleka.

There's still information Kaleka and other families hope to get that's not in the portions of the video released.

"We wanted to know how long it took to get in, get out. Why when people walked out of the temple they were saying 'get the ambulances in there,' there's nobody in there..." said Kaleka.

Answers he hopes will come in time, and in the hopes of more video being released.

"I think when video is released, it's amazing they're allowing us to see it first, it's part of the grieving process, it's part of closing chapters and closing books on this."

Kaleka said he wants the video to shock people and make them realize there is no place for violence like this in a peaceful society.
