KANSASVILLE - A small, single-engine plane has crashed into a yard along Eagle Lake in Kansasville in southeastern Wisconsin.
 
The Racine County Sheriff's Office has released little information so far, but TODAY'S TMJ4 has learned the pilot was killed in the crash. No one else was on board and no one on the ground was injured.

"[In the] back of the house there is a lot of damage," Ken Filler says. "I lost a lot of stuff in my shed. The neighbor lost a lot of stuff in their garage."

Filler lives in the house next to where the plane crashed.
 
Brian Block, who lives just a block from the crash scene, says he heard a loud plane engine just before the crash around noon Sunday. He says he then heard a boom and his whole house shook.

"There was nothing but fire," Block says. "The plane had crashed down behind the house."
 
He says he jumped in his car and drove to the scene where he saw flames coming from a small plane in his neighbor's yard.

"Feeling the house shaken in the house was bad enough and then to see the it, you know the plane went straight down," Block says.

"So, you know who was in the plane didn't make it."
 
FAA spokesman Tony Molinaro says the single-engine Beechcraft Bonanza was flying from Chicago Executive Airport to Minocqua in north-central Wisconsin when it crashed and hit a building around noon Sunday.

He says the pilot, who was the only person on board, was killed and the plane was destroyed, but no injuries on the ground were reported.
