MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- A federal judge has sentenced a Fond du Lac man to five years in prison for having sexual relations with a girl in Belize.

Seventy-two-year-old Roland Flath pleaded guilty in May to traveling to a foreign country and engaging in illicit sexual conduct. U.S. District Judge J.P. Stadtmueller handed down Flath's sentence Thursday in Milwaukee.

According to court documents, a then-14-year-old girl from Copper Bank, a Belize fishing village, told investigators in 2010 that Flath had been taking pictures of her naked and sexually assaulting her since she was 9 or 10. She said Flath paid her and she used the money to buy her mother food.

Flath's attorney didn't immediately return a message Friday.
