WHITEFISH BAY- Two firefighters suffered minor injuries while battling a garage fire in Whitefish Bay around 10 a.m. Monday.
Fire crews were able to put out the flames quickly, but the damage to the garage and its contents is estimated around $45,000.
According to a news release, one firefighter was transported to a local hospital with non life-threatening injuries; the second firefighter was treated on the scene for heat exhaustion.
The fire didn't cause any damage to nearby structures.
The cause and exact origin of the fire remains under investigation.
