MILWAUKEE- An elderly man beaten and robbed on Milwaukee's south side is describing that frightening day.

Three days ago Carl Slaski was rushed to Froedtert Hospital after he was ambushed by three men near S. Muskego Ave. and W. Grant St.  Two got out and beat him while one stole $130 and even took his car.

A day after surgery, the 70-year-old left the hospital determined to put this senseless beaten behind him.

With his wife and daughter by his side, Carl Slaski continues on his road to recovery.

"Thanks a lot from the bottom of heart (crying) I love them all," said Slaski.

He's emotional because on Tuesday morning he was left bloody on the curb.  "I'll pray for them (the suspects), (crying) because they need help, they need help."

The attack left Slaski with injuries so severe he needed reconstructive face surgery and five staples to the head.  "I'm feeling better, they did a good job here," explained Slaski.

And while he's heading home, his family is worried because police have no leads or any idea who's behind the attack.

"I wish you don't do this to anyone else and please, please turn yourself in do right thing my dad has been through so much and I can only imagine what he's going to through in recovery," requested the victim's daughter Lynn.

As for Mr. Slaski, he told TODAY'S TMJ4 that while he want the guys caught, he's already forgiven them.
