Isaac's remnants expected to miss Wisconsin
MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Meteorologists say most of Hurricane Isaac's remnants will track south of Wisconsin.
National Weather Service Warning Coordination Meteorologist Rusty Kapela says what's left of the storm is expected to track into central Missouri by Saturday morning and then turn northeast toward southern Indiana and southern Ohio.
The northern edge of the storm may reach the Chicago area by Sunday evening.
Kapela says Wisconsin's far southeastern corner could see up to a tenth of an inch of rain.
The last time a tropical storm affected Wisconsin was in September 2008, when remnants of Hurricane Gustav and Hurricane Ike dumped as much as 3-1/4 inches of rain on the state's southern portions.
