Brewers release pitcher Randy Wolf
MILWAUKEE - The Milwaukee Brewers have released pitcher Randy Wolf after a subpar 2012 season.
The starter was 3-10 with a 5.69 ERA during the 2012 regular season.
Wolf had a 13-10 2011 season with a 3.69 ERA. For his Milwaukee career, he went 29-32 with a 4.37 ERA.
He produced one of two wins over the St. Louis Cardinals during the 2011 National League Championship Series.
Jeff Bianchi, an infielder, has been brought back from AAA Nashville.
Wednesdsay was Wolf's 36th birthday.
