MILWAUKEE - Milwaukee County Executive Chris Abele appointed Jim Keegan as the interim director for the county parks department on Monday.

Keegan was the No. 2 official at the Milwaukee County Parks Department.

Recently fired Milwaukee County Parks Director Sue Black still wants her job back, or more money from Milwaukee County.

Sue Black, who was terminated last week by County Executive Chris Abele, says she still does not know the reason for the firing.

Her attorney, Frank Gimbel, told TODAY'S TMJ4 that she sent a letter to the county asking that she be reinstated or compensated for giving up a job last year in Chicago.

Black turned down the job and was given a raise and a longer contract to stay in Milwaukee.

"Especially because she has legal representation, it's not something we're going to comment on until it's resolved," said Abele.

Abele won't say why he fired Black, but said she mishandled parts of a lease deal for the Crystal Ridge Ski Area.  The county is currently working on changing that lease, and may have to pay the outgoing group millions of dollars.
