TOWN OF SOMERS - A body found in a Kenosha County cemetery is not far from Carthage College in Kenosha.

Details are still unfolding, but we do know the death is being called suspicious.

A Kenosha Police officer found the woman's body inside B'nai Zedek Cemetery around 10:00 Sunday morning. Officials spent a good six hours there looking for clues.

In the meantime, neighbors' concerns grew.

"It's so close, it's just terrifying," Shakita Williams says. "I saw all the detectives walking back and forth like they were looking for something."

An on-duty Kenosha Police officer found the body of an adult woman as he passed through the graveyard Sunday morning.

"It's pretty private," Williams says. "It's not like people go over there all the time."

Detectives are working to identify the woman.

"It has brought fear upon the neighbors," Williams says.

"We're afraid to go out at night by ourselves."

The cemetery remains roped off and guarded by a single deputy.
