First Lady will offer in-person condolences to Sikh community
OAK CREEK, Wis. - The White House has announced that First Lady Michelle Obama will be travelling to the Milwaukee area this coming week.
The purpose of her visit? To meet with grieving Sikh families in Oak Creek, after a gunman killed six people and wounded several others August 5th.
But some are questioning why the President himself hasn't been to Oak Creek, considering he did travel to Colorado following the movie theatre shootings.
Oak Creek police lieutenant Brian Murphy remains hospitalized in satisfactory condition.
Punjab Singh is still listed in critical condition.
While in town on Thursday, the first lady also plans to attend a campaign event.
