Poll: Thompson leads Baldwin 54%-43%

MADISON - A poll out Friday showed Republican U.S. Senate candidate Tommy Thompson leading Democrat Tammy Baldwin 54% to 43%.
The latest Rasmussen Reports survey of likely voters--the first since Tuesday's primary election--found Thompson opening up a double-digit lead with 3% still undecided.
The survey of 500 likely voters in Wisconsin was conducted on August 15th. It has a margin of error of +/- 4.5% with a 95% level of confidence.
