Deadly shooting at north side Milwaukee food store
MILWAUKEE - Milwaukee Police said Thursday morning that they were investigating the second deadly shooting in the city this week.
This incident happened at about 9:10 p.m. Wednesday night, around closing time at the Harmony Food Store near the corner of North 38th and West Locust Streets.
The victim was 50 years old. Police say he was shot during what appeared to be a robbery attempt.
It was initially unclear if the man was an employee or a customer.
Officers blocked a portion of the street and combed the area, attempting to find shell casings and other evidence in front of the store.
Police did not initially have details on who the suspect might be.
This was the second deadly shooting this week, with the other happening Tuesday morning near the corner of North 28th and West Wells Streets.
