Neumann believes he can beat odds, win GOP U.S Senate primary
BROOKFIELD- Crews supporting Mark Neumann for the GOP U.S Senate nomination have been setting up at for a few hours for the party that starts at 8 p.m.
TODAY'S TMJ4's Annie Scholz caught up with the businessman and former congressman Tuesday afternoon.
Annie Scholz: "How are you feeling?"
Mark Neumann: "Great, things look really good, calls in the room are going very good, we're hearing positive stuff, voters are coming home to the proven Conservative in this race and I think it's going to mean a win tonight."
Annie Scholz: "And what are people telling you out there today?"
Mark Neumann: "Well I don't know, my Fed Ex man just stopped at my house with a Fed Ex and I think he was nervous because I actually took the Fed Ex from him and he started talking to me about balancing the budget, and the relationship with Paul Ryan and why he's going to vote for us and the proven Conservatives came through loud and clear in that discussion and on his way out he said, by the way there's 8 adults in my house and we're all voting for you and I just convinced another one at the office, so we're feeling good."
Annie Scholz: "What do you think is the biggest issue for voters right now?"
Mark Neumann: "I think confidence in who can help get this country turned around. I think the conservative values we need to govern this land as opposed to what's going on with Barack Obama. I think who can best stand up to Barack Obama and Tammy Baldwin."
Vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan took over the First Congressional District from Neumann in 1999, and has been there ever since.
