Search suspended for 2 missing men in Lake Michigan near Sheboygan

SHEBOYGAN- Sheboygan police have confirmed to TODAY'S TMJ4 that a recovery effort has been suspended for two missing men in Lake Michigan.

Around 3:15 p.m. Friday, members from multiple law enforcement agencies and dive teams went searching for two men who entered the water from the north pier.  The names of the two men haven't been released at this time.

According to a news release, the search will continue after 8 a.m. Saturday depending upon weather conditions.

The Sheboygan Press first reported that authorities were looking for two missing people, and one person was located safely near the north pier.

TODAY'S TMJ4's Keller Russell said that the missing men are aged 21 and 37-years-old.  She reports they are both from Sheboygan.

Sheboygan police confirmed that one woman was rescued, but didn't release any details about her.

A witness told WHBL Radio in Sheboygan that the group was fishing on the breakwater when they dropped some fishing equipment and reportedly tried to retrieve it.
