Sikh leader asks Indian businesses to close Friday

BROOKFIELD, Wis. (AP) -- The chairman of the Brookfield Sikh temple is asking Indian-owned businesses to close Friday afternoon in memory of the Oak Creek shooting victims.

Bachan Singh Gill heads the Brookfield Sikh Gurdwara Trust. He is asking the Indian-owned businesses locally and around the world to close from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.

Central time in memory of the six Sikh members killed at the Oak Creek temple Sunday and the three others who were injured.

Gill says the time should be devoted to prayers "for all of humanity."
