WAUWATOSA - Three shooting victims are in the hospital.

That includes a wounded officer, Lt. Brian Murphy, with 20 years experience at the Oak Creek Police Department.

Lt. Murphy was shot multiple times, but he's expected to survive.

The other two injured are Bhai Punjab Singh and Santokh Singh.

"We have been caring for three victims, all alive and in critical condition, these senseless gunshots wounded a heroic officer of the law and two peaceful persons praying in their house of worship," said Dr. Lee Biblo, chief medical officer for Froedtert Hospital.

All of them underwent surgery Sunday afternoon and one victim was treated in surgical intensive care.

Lt. Murphy's and Santokh Singh's family both are asking for privacy as they continue to pray.
