Storm Team 4 Severe Weather
Wisconsin misses severe weather, threat has passed
5:07 p.m. The National Weather Service has cancelled a Severe Thunderstorm Watch that had been in effect for southeast Wisconsin. Severe storms stayed to our south in Illinois and the threat has now passed.
4:58 p.m. It appears the strongest storms are staying south of us. The National Weather Service is starting to cancel the Severe Thunderstorm Watch to our west.
3:55 p.m. The storm warning for Walworth County has been cancelled early. The storm that prompted the warning has weakened. It appears most of the severe storms are staying south of the Wisconsin border.
3:24 p.m. The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for southern Walworth County until 4 this afternoon. At 3:19 p.m. National Weather Service Doppler Radar indicated a line of severe thunderstorms capable of producing quarter size hail and destructive winds in excess of 70 mph. These storms were located along a line extending from rockton to 9 miles south of Poplar Grove and moving northeast at 55 mph.
1:49 p.m. The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for all of Southeast Wisconsin, except for Sheboygan and Fond du Lac Counties. The watch is in effect until 8 tonight. A line a severe storms is approaching our area from the west.
