Storm warnings expire

1:45 a.m.

Storms that brought high winds and large hail to the area overnight have now moved south and out of southeast Wisconsin.  The National Weather Service has allowed all warnings that had been in effect for our area to expire.

1:12 a.m.

The National Weather Service has now extended the severe thunderstorm warning for Racine and Kenosha Counties until 1:45 this morning.

12:57 a.m.

The National Weather Service has shifted the severe thunderstorm warning south as a line of severe storms moves south.  Now Southeast Waukesha, Southern Milwaukee, Racine, Kenosha and eastern Walworth Counties are under the warning until 1:30 this morning.

12:30 a.m.

The National Weather Service has expanded the Severe Thunderstorm Warning now to include Eastern Jefferson and Southern Waukesha Counties until 1 a.m.

12:00 a.m.

Storm Team 4Caster John Malan said that large thunderstorm has produced one inch hail and moving east around 30 mph in the western part of Jefferson County.

Wind gusts could reach 50 mph.  3/4 of an inch to an inch of hail could come down, said Malan.

According to Ron from Menomonee Falls, "For the last 25 minutes it has been continues thunder and continuous lightning in probably 2/3 of the sky to the west and north."

"It's like you're at the climax of a fireworks show," said Ron to Newsradio 620 WTMJ.

11:56 p.m.

The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Jefferson County until 12:30 a.m. Tuesday.

The National Weather Service's Doppler Radar indicated a severe thunderstorm capable of producing quarter size hail and damaging winds in excess of 60 mph.

10:45 p.m.

The National Weather Service said the Severe Thunderstorm Warning for northeastern Fond du Lac County has expired.

10:18 p.m.

The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for northeastern Fond du Lac County until 10:45 p.m.

The National Weather Service's Doppler Radar indicated a severe thunderstorm capable of producing quarter size hail and damaging winds in excess of 60 mph.
