2 Wisconsin fugitives arrested in Florida
BLACK RIVER FALLS- Two men suspected in a crime spree after walking away from a Wisconsin correctional center face federal charges after their arrest in Florida.
Seminole Police Lt. David Carry says the two men were arrested early Wednesday in Hollywood, Fla., after a security guard at a local casino spotted them prowling around a parking lot.
The two were arrested after a police chase.
Twenty-nine-year-old James Newman and 18-year-old James Misleveck walked away from a correctional boot camp at Black River Falls July 17. They're accused of stealing a gun, several vehicles and kidnapping and robbing a casino employee.
The U.S. Attorney's office for the Western District of Wisconsin on Wednesday charged Newman and Misleveck with unlawful possession of a shotgun as convicted felons.
