DNR offices to close for Monday
MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- A number of state Department of Natural Resources offices won't offer counter service on Monday.
Agency offices in Ashland, Cumberland, Dodgeville, Ladysmith and Peshtigo will halt service so staff can receive training for this fall's hunting seasons. The agency chose Monday for the shutdown because those days are typically slower.
Anyone who wants to buy a fishing or hunting license, register a recreational vehicle or get burn permits can use the DNR's website or visit a licensed agent.
All DNR service locations will resume normal business hours on Tuesday.
