MEQUON - One of the shooting victims in Aurora, Colorado is a Mequon-native.

27-year-old Carey Rottman, a Homestead High School alum, posted on his Facebook page: "Shot in the leg at Batman. Where is he when you need him. Please pray for everyone there."

Carey's father, Dale Rottman, said his son called at 2am Friday morning to share the news.

"I thought I was dreaming at first," Rottman told me after landing in Denver to see his son.  "It was quite a shock."

Carey, a graduate of Winona State in 2008, is expected to recover.

"He was fairly calm," Rottman said.  "He said he was fine and we shouldn't worry."
