  • There's going to be triple digit heat again in Milwaukee on Monday, according to Storm Team 4Caster Brian Gotter.

"A SW wind will push highs to 100 today (record: 100 from 1887) along with high humidity," warned Brian.

"There will not be a lake breeze this afternoon so the lake is hot as well."

  • A heat advisory has been issued for all of Southeastern Wisconsin from 12:00 p.m. Monday until 9:00 p.m. Tuesday.

Monday night won't be the most enjoyable, either, according to Brian.

"Lows tonight will be in the upper 70s to near 80 and muggy, a bad night of sleep for those without air conditioning."

  • Brian also advises that the extreme heat will continue all the way until a cold front finally comes to bring relief on Tuesday.

"With the warm start, Tuesday will once again be hot and humid with highs near 100 (record: 98 1942). A cold front moves into the region in the late afternoon with scattered storms to the northwest of Milwaukee. Expect showers and storms by evening in Milwaukee and an even better chance Tuesday night for scattered storms with lows near 70."

  • Then comes some more seasonal and enjoyable days Wednesday through Friday, with a little bit of rain to start out the three-day stretch.

"Wednesday will start out with scattered showers before noon and then afternoon clearing and highs in the lower 80s with less humidity...back to normal. Thursday is the pick day of the week with highs in the upper 70s at the lake and lower 80s inland with low humidity. Friday is back into the lower 80s and the weekend is sunny and more humid with highs in the upper 80s."

MILWAUKEE-  Severe levels of heat are returning to the Milwaukee area.

A heat advisory has been issued for all of southeastern Wisconsin until 9:00 p.m. Tuesday.

Monday's high temperatures reached 98 degrees with a heat index up to 105 degrees.

Storm Team 4Caster John Malan said the heat index could reach a high of 105 degrees on Tuesday as well.

According to Malan, "So far we have had 13 days since June 1st of 90's; a lot of folks comparing this to 1998...(which) had 19 days above 90 degrees and (we're) equal in 100-degree days.  We have had two so far, and there were two back in June 1988."

Malan expects a very warm evening Monday, with temperatures stting in the mid 90s throughout southeast Wisconsin.
