MILWAUKEE - The City of Milwaukee is holding a news conference right now to announce that the Emerald Ash Borer has made its way to the city.
The EAB has been discovered in areas around the city, including just recently in Waukesha County.
The bug is invasive and can destroy ash tree populations.
Milwaukee is concerned because 17 percent of the trees in the city are ash trees.
The city estimates that there are 587,000 ash trees at risk to EAB in Milwaukee.
