KENOSHA- Kenosha police believe the woman found dead in a grass fire earlier this week was 20-year-old Lashe Zalar of Kenosha.

Authorities haven't made a positive identification yet, but evidence collected at the scene indicate it's her.

Autopsy results are pending for a woman found during a brush fire in Nedweski Park on Monday.

Kenosha's Police and Fire Departments were called to the park Monday around 10:20 a.m. after reports of a brush fire.  The woman's body was discovered while authorities extinguished that fire.

According to a news release, Kenosha's Police Department is asking for anyone who was in the area of Nedweski Park during Monday's morning hours and "observed any activity" to call Crime Stoppers at (262) 656-7333 or the City of Kenosha Police Department Detective Bureau at (262) 605-5203 or Detective Josh Hecker at (262) 605-5264.
