Baldwin responds to in-party criticism
MILWAUKEE - The only Democrat in Wisconsin's U-S Senate race is defending herself.
Congresswoman Tammy Baldwin is responding to some Democrats who expressed concern
that she's too liberal to win conservative areas of Wisconsin in November.
"What I've been is a fighter for Wisconsin," Baldwin told our partner in Madison, News/Talk 1310 WIBA. "I've taken on the powerful special interests. And when you do that, people do tend to give you labels, but I'm proud to have stood up to Wall Street."
Two recent polls have Baldwin within the margin of error of both GOP frontrunners in the US Senate Race, former Gov. Tommy Thompson and Madison businessman Eric Hovde.
Baldwin is the only Democrat in the race.
