Bay View residents gather after recent sexual assaults

BAY VIEW- Four sexual assaults in as many months in Bay View. Now the community is coming together along with police to keep the suspect from striking again.
Beck Kennedy lives and works late in Bay View. After the sexual assaults started in late February, she's not taking any chances.
"No one will let me go home by myself and my boyfriend always makes sure he picks me up at work and stuff," said Beck Kennedy.
The neighborhood held a public safety meeting Wednesday night at Bay View High School so people could get information and ask questions.
The Journal Sentinel reports around 150 people attended the meeting.
Police say the man walks up to women late at night, tells them not to scream, and then gropes them. A couple of women did scream, and he ran off.
Kathy Banech lives on a street where one of the attacks happened and told TODAY'S TMJ4 the attack was next to her church.
Daniel Olkives owns Tease Salon, and has the police description posted in his window.
"Getting the word out there as much as we can so this can be stopped," said Daniel Olkives.
A community coming together, fighting to take their neighborhood back.
"I've never had an issue, I walk home very often and there's never been a problem. So when you see something like this, it kind of breaks your heart a little bit," said Olkives.
Police have a very broad description of the suspect.
He's a white man, anywhere from 20 to 35 years old, 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 11 inches, with a thin to stocky build and dark hair.
They're hoping anyone with information can help them narrow it down. If you know anything, you're asked to call police at Sensitive Crimes Division at (414) 935-7405.
