Feds investigating deadly crane collapse in Oshkosh

OSHKOSH- Investigators are still trying to determine why a construction crane collapsed in Oshkosh Thursday.
One man died and another was injured.
The process of removing the twisted metal and concrete is now underway at the scene of Thursday's terrifying crane collapse, reports TODAY'S TMJ4's Todd Hicks.
Federal investigators have also started their investigation.
Police boats now protect the scene of this fatal crane collapse under the Lake Butte des Morts bridge.
A 52-ton piece of cement crashed to the ground killing one worker and injuring another.
Federal investigators said they don't know what went wrong yet.
"They will talk with employees to see what happened at the time of the accident," said OSHA spokesperson Rhonda Burke.
The worker who died worked for Waukesha-based Spancrete. The company has been cited for work site violations in the past. Something a spokesperson for OSHA tells me they will look at.
"If a violation is found as a result of this investigation that they were previously cited for within the last five years they could be issued a repeat violation," said Burke.
OSHA has given the OK for construction to resume on this bridge widening project.
Authorities aren't saying where the injured worker is being cared for or his condition.
