APPLETON, Wis. (AP) -- More than 100 Appleton areas soldiers are back home, after being deployed in Afghanistan for the last year.
Appleton's 395th Ordnance Company returned to the Outagamie County Regional Airport Thursday.
They were responsible for the storage, transport and distribution of ammunition throughout the country. One member of the company, Garrick Eppinger Jr., died during the deployment.
The Post-Crescent of Appleton reports (http://post.cr/KXTAY2 ) after reuniting with family at the airport, they made their way through Appleton for a parade.
Spec. Adam Vogel of Appleton says being able to talk to his family face-to-face was an incredible feeling.
