Strong winds knock out power in Oshkosh
OSHKOSH, Wis. (AP) -- Sixty mph wind gusts knocked out power to thousands of customers in the Oshkosh area where strong thunderstorms produced quarter-sized hail.
Wisconsin Public Service utility crews worked overnight Monday to restore power to more than 8,500 customers who lost service. The storm knocked down trees and flooded some streets in Oshkosh.
The National Weather Service said temperatures dropped from 94 degrees at 5 p.m. to 66 degrees three hours later.
