One fatality after three heroin overdoses in La Crosse

LA CROSSE- One person is dead after three heroin overdoses took place over the last three days. The death occurred on the second day, June 28.  La Crosse police responded to the home of the victim and found that the victim had been deceased for some time. 

According to the police department, evidence found at the scene indicated heroin use. An autopsy is scheduled to determine an official cause of death. 

On both June 27th and June 29th, police responded to a person not breathing and administered an anti-narcotic which saved both of their lives. A 19-year-old female from Onalaska and a 46-year-old man from La Crosse were saved.

Police are concerned that an extremely potent batch of heroin has been introduced in the La Crosse area and causing these incidents.
