Pewaukee police seek 2 bank robbers
PEWAUKEE- Pewaukee police are looking for a couple of bank robbers.
Two masked men with guns robbed the PNC Bank on Capitol Drive Thursday morning.
Workers and customers inside that PNC Bank were shaken after two robbers stormed the building wearing ski masks and holding guns.
A call from police about the robbery had Don Freyer closing and locking his doors.
Authorities discovered a green getaway car near the Freyer's home; investigators say two suspects stormed the bank with masks and guns and wasted no time going for the cash.
Investigators, including the FBI aren't sure if the two got away on foot or had another getaway car. Freyer told TODAY'S TMJ4 he thinks the pair are gone.
"I don't know why they would stick around here or where they would stick around cause they'd eventually have to come out," said Freyer.
A serial bank robber hit at least seven banks in the suburbs since the end of April. Police aren't saying for sure, but believe this robbery isn't connected.
