Fans excited for opening of BMO Harris Pavilion
MILWAUKEE- The M&I Classic Rock Stage is no more, its replacement -- the BMO Harris Pavilion.
The multimillion dollar project is set to bring state-of-the-art entertainment to town.
"We're really excited for this.. can't wait for everybody to enjoy this beautiful, new world-class facility," said John Boler, VP of Sales and Marketing for Summerfest.
Changes include a number of handicap accessible areas. That makes the experience enjoyable for people like Rosemary Lisowski
"It's so easy to get around down here, and everything's nice down here," said Lisowski.
Perhaps one of the features that stands out the most here is what's called the 'Blue Circle' section.
Cushy seats designed for fans to watch the music they love.
This year, there's something different.
It's not just first come first serve -- you need a pass to sit in them.
Fans don't seem to mind the new digs as many plan to come back to the BMO Harris Pavilion again and again.
"I've been coming here since 1972, so I'll be here as long as I'm still breathing," said Joe Heder.
The Steve Miller Band with special guest Larry McCray will take that stage on the first night of Summerfest.
