MADISON- We're hearing from the Government Accountability Board after a discovery in Racine County that signatures are missing from the poll book.
Newly registered voters were supposed to sign the book while voting in the District 21 state Senate recall, but that didn't happen in some cases.
"This was a mistake by the poll workers, they should have required people to sign the list. However, the fact that they didn't sign the list doesn't invalidate their vote," said Reid Magney of the GAB to Newsradio 620 WTMJ's Wisconsin's Afternoon News.
According to Magney, "The legislature created this requirement, to sign the poll list, last year. When they wrote that law, they didn't specify any penalties for not signing the list."
Magney said those mistakes are classified as administrative errors.
