Storm Team 4
Near 80 today, 90's tomorrow
MILWAUKEE - The buildup to a heat wave is beginning in Southeastern Wisconsin, though the temperatures on Tuesday won't be nearly as high as what we'll endure later this week.
"High pressure has control of the weather for hundreds of miles around us, bringing back more bright skies and dry air with a return to seasonal high temperatures near 80 degrees," said Storm Team 4Caster Scott Steele.
"As the surface high eases off to the east, our winds will pick up out of the south and southwest, with an upper level ridge strengthening. All these factors will combine to create yet another heat wave and extended period of mainly dry weather."
Scott says Wednesday's highs should rise to the 90 degree threshold, and to the upper 90's on Thursday.
