Man appeared in court Friday for allegedly murdering Waukesha clerk
WAUKESHA- The man accused of shooting and killing a Waukesha gas station clerk was in intake court Friday.
Police say in the early morning hours of May 29, 20-year-old Billy Ingram shot Nayyer Rana once in the stomach and once in the shoulder.
The day after the murder, an Elm Grove officer found a duffel bag and back pack near a bus stop. In it, several of the same items taken from the Petro Mart on East Broadway and Pleasant Street, and a bank card with Ingram's name on it.20 minutes later, police responded to a burglary, and found Ingram close by. In his possession, among other things, money that appeared to be blood stained, marijuana, and a 40 caliber shell casing -- the same kind found at the murder scene.
Ingram is being held on $1 million bond.
He has a motion hearing set for next Friday, according to online court records.
