Body pulled from Lake Mendota believed to be that of missing swimmer
MADISON- Dane County sheriff's officials say a body recovered from Lake Mendota is believed to be that of a missing swimmer.
A 22-year-old man was reported missing shortly before 3 a.m. Friday by his friend who told police she swam to shore to get help after the man disappeared underwater.
The Madison Fire Department's Lake Rescue Team used underwater lights to search for the man. WKOW-TV says a body was recovered about 11 a.m.
