Greek Fest kicks off Friday at State Fair Park
WEST ALLIS - The ethnic festival season continues in Milwaukee on Friday with the Annunciation Greek Fest at State Fair Park.
"You will be greeted with the aroma, scent and sight of our famous chicken," said Cecelia Yanarez with Greek Fest, who joined Newsradio 620 WTMJ's "Wisconsin's Morning News."
"Then of course, we'll have the
spanakopita, the spinach and cheese triangles. We'll have the gyro."
She says the flaming cheese and dozens of desserts will also be there.
Yanarez explains that this year Greek Fest will also feature an expanded marketplace and a cultural center to explain the faith behind the fest.
Greek Fest runs through Sunday.
