Man wants answers after reportedly beaten by mob on north side
MILWAUKEE- A beloved neighbor and his family are asking for your help after he was beaten and left for dead.
Jimmy Riggins speaks softly with a broken jaw, busted lip, black eyes and numerous other injuries after a mob reportedly beat him down on Tuesday at N. 37th and W. Locust Streets.
Jimmy Riggins: "Beating's were coming from everywhere."
Rob Koebel: "Did you think you were going to make it when they were beating you?"
Jimmy Riggins: "No, I didn't."
For more than two decades, Riggins has acted as a family photographer -- who charges very little or nothing at all to take pictures of weddings, graduations you name it for those in his neighborhood.
"My brother has a heart like gold, all he wants to do is help people," said Michelle Riggins, Jimmy's sister.
Riggins also pushed a cart around the neighborhood handing out chips and drinks. But now he's stopped giving back because he fears for his life.
"And they broke him, that's what is so unbelievable they broke him (crying)," said Michelle Riggins.
Jimmy's niece Nigeria Riggins told TODAY'S TMJ4, "I think the people who did this are villains and they are monsters basically, I have no respect for them".
And now the family is asking for your help -- posting reward posters and hoping to catch those who nearly beat him to death.
