MILWAUKEE - The hot spell that engulfed Milwaukee in 90 degree temperatures is ending Thursday, with more seasonal levels of warmth for people to enjoy.

Storm Team 4Caster Scott Steele tells us that rain would fall, however, on parts of our area before the cooler weather sets in.

"A cool front is pushing through the area this morning and may trigger a few early showers, though there has been a definite weakening trend on radar," said Scott.

"Look for some rather rapid clearing as the day progresses with sunshine by later in the morning or early afternoon. Behind the front, our winds will shift to the West-Northwest ushering in slightly cooler readings but noticeably less humid air."

Steele also mentioned that we shouldn't expect to see precipitation until at least Saturday night.

"The dry weather should take hold again through the first half of the weekend."
