New details about man allegedly responsible for murdering Waukesha store clerk

WAUKESHA- Charges have been filed in the deadly shooting of a store clerk that rocked a Waukesha community.
Now, we're learning more about what police say 20-year-old Billy Ingram did and how they tracked him down.
Gary Fleischmann lives in the same building as Ingram. He couldn't believe it when he heard Ingram has been charged in the violent shooting death of Petro Mart clerk, Nayyer Rana, three weeks ago.
"He was real quiet, to himself. Down to earth," said Fleischmann. "I mean I'd seen him walking around Waukesha once in a while with a cell phone in his hand and with ear plugs in, listening to music."
Police say in the early morning hours of May 29, Ingram shot Rana once in the stomach and once in the shoulder -- all for a few hundred bucks, cigarettes, cigars, and hostess snack cakes.
Charles Warner lives near the store and told TODAY'S TMJ4, "I know the people at the gas station -- also some real good friends of mine."
Here's how police tracked Ingram down. The day after the murder, an Elm Grove officer found a duffel bag and back pack near a bus stop. In it, several of the same items taken from the Petro Mart, and a bank card with Ingram's name on it.
20 minutes later, police responded to a burglary, and found Ingram close by. In his possession, among other things, money that appeared to be blood stained, marijuana, and a 40 caliber shell casing -- the same kind found at the murder scene.
According to the criminal complaint, Ingram lives with his cousin, so TODAY'S TMJ4 stopped by to see if he had anything to say. TODAY'S TMJ4's Annie Scholz spoke with him through the door, but he said he didn't have time to talk.
Meanwhile, Ingram is being held on $1 million bond -- which is enough to make folks in that neighborhood sleep a little easier.
"A million dollars, I don't think he'll be getting out anytime soon," said Warner.
Ingram faces life in prison if he's convicted.
