Five year-old hit-and-run victim moved from intensive care

MILWAUKEE - One week after he was hit by a car, a five-year-old milwaukee boy is moving out of intensive care.
The mother of Robert Torres Jr. tells us the boy is making good progress.
Roneeka Broom said her son spoke for the first time since the crash on Friday.
"Last night they said 'Robert are you in any pain? And he said, 'Yes.' And they said "What's your name?" And he said, "Robert". So ya know, I'm real happy with that," Broom said in tears.
But, she know's there's still a long road ahead.
"He's moving on the right and left side. They're talking about taking the last thing -- the tube feeding -- off. The other tubes are gone and now we are going up to rehab to get him to stand and sit up."
It's an answered prayer for Roneeka and her family.
"He a fighter. Ya know, I think he's doing really good."
Police are still looking for the hit and run driver.
Robert's mother is hopeful that person will also be found but says her focus really is on his recovery.
"He comes forward, he comes forward. Either way my son is having a speedy recovery and we're going to go on from this."
