Double shooting on north side; one victim fights for his life
MILWAUKEE - A 36-year-old shooting victim was fighting for his life Friday morning after he and another man were shot during an apparent robbery attempt.
Police say that at 10:45 p.m. Thursday night, both men were sitting on a porch near the corner of North 37th Street and West Concordia Avenue.
Three suspects then reportedly came up to them and demanded money.
Authorities say a suspect or suspects then shot the men, who were then taken to St. Joseph's Hospital.
The 36-year-old man had several gunshot wounds. Crews then transferred him to Froedtert Hospital, where he was receiving help for what police described as life-threatening wounds.
The other victim, 32, had one gunshot wound. He was listed Friday morning in stable condition at St. Joseph's Hospital.
Police gave no initial word on whether they arrested any suspects.
