Click here to listen to Tom Schuler, former teammate of Lance Armstrong, share his insight on the doping allegations against the racing legend with Wisconsin's Afternoon News.

WAUWATOSA- A former teammate of Lance Armstrong's is reacting to the doping charges facing the seven-time Tour de France champ.

Newsradio 620 WTMJ's John Mercure asked Tom Schuler if he thought Armstrong doped.

"I really can't say one way or another what this is all about or what will become of this.  I don't know enough," said Schuler.

Armstrong and Schuler, of Wauwatosa, were amateur teammates.  "I think he will fight the charges ferociously," said Schuler.

Schuler considered Armstrong a great leader on and off the bike as well as a ferocious competitor.

The Wauwatosa native said he can understand the temptation for riders to use performance enhancing drugs with all the pressure and money surrounding bike racing.

He plans on talking to kids next week about the goodness of racing during the Tour of America Dairyland -- an 11-day bicycle race he co-founded.
