Suspect detained in Eau Claire homicide
EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (AP) -- Eau Claire police say they have taken a suspect into custody in connection with the homicide of a 39-year-old man.
Police said Paul Oberle was murdered after returning from working the overnight shift at an Eau Claire grocery store. His father found his body in his yard Saturday afternoon.
An autopsy performed Monday at Regina Medical Center in Hastings, Minn., showed Oberle's death was a homicide.
The Leader-Telegram reports (http://bit.ly/NAnIyi) police still are withholding the manner of death for investigative purposes. They did not name the suspect.
Eau Claire police Deputy Chief Jerry Staniszewski said Wednesday that the investigation continues.
