Bicyclist seriously injured in Walworth County
WALWORTH COUNTY, Wis. - A helmet may have saved the life of a 29 year old bicyclist, after an accident Friday night in Walworth County.
Police say the Milwaukee man fell off his bicycle around 7pm on the John Muir bike trail near Highway H.
Flight for Life airlifted Derek King to Froedtert Hospital with serious facial injuries and possible head injuries, but as of Friday night, police say he appeared to be doing pretty well.
Police say King was wearing a bicycle helmet at the time of the accident which likely spared him from more serious injury.
