TOWN OF PLEASANT SPRINGS - TODAY'S TMJ4 is reporting that two teenage girls who disappeared from a beach have been found dead in a Dane County lake.

Authorities believe teens accidentally drowned.  Sheriff's spokeswoman Elise Schaffer says there are no indications of foul play in the deaths of Emma Maurer of Stoughton and Sydnie Kwiatkowski of Footville.

The sheriff's department tells WISC-TV in Madison that Sydnie Kwiatkowski and Emma Maurer, 16,  were with friends at Lake Kegonsa in LaFollette County Park Thursday.

"A struggle that touched this community deeply, these chilled families are a part of our community," said an emotional Dane County Sheriff Dave Mahoney.

Authorities had found one body Friday around noon the second girl was reportedly found around 4 p.m.

Friends of those girls left the beach for a brief time Thursday and when they returned, Kwiatkowski and Maurer weren't there, but their personal items were still on the beach.

Sheriff Dave Mahoney says the two were last seen swimming late Thursday afternoon.  A fisherman last saw the girls swimming in the lake about 4:30 p.m.
